The Pirelli Stadium is the new home of Burton Albion FC and was built at a cost of £6.8m. The capacity of the new ground is 6,068 and is one of the finest non league stadia in the UK.
The first game at the stadium which opened in 2005 was against a Manchester United XI on November 14th, Burton Albion won 2-1. The stadium was officially opened by Sir Alex Furguson. Less than a month after the Manchester United fixture, Burton Albian were drawn in the 3rd round of the FA Cup against Manchester United again.
The stadium also boasts youth training facilities and an activity centre for children.
